Kris - Unfortunately, until he is really ready to do something about his weight, all you can do is let him know that whatever he decides, you're there for him, and you'll do whatever you can to help him, because he's the only one that can make that decision. He's very luck to have a sister that is so concerned for him...Best of luck to you both!

Try to talk to him and see if he will go for a walk with you. Start out slow but steady and do it as often as you can.

"...until my mind changed last September." Maybe your brother needs something like you received last fall. An "aha" moment? I agree with above. Until he's ready to change, all you can do is be there for him and promise to be there for him after that moment. I hope you all are within close proximity of each other. That also helps.

Just continue to be a positive example of what proper dedication to your health can be. He has his own timeline and may be ready sooner than anyone thinks (especially with him being more open). Let him know you are there for him and if he needs advice all he has to do is say the word. If you guys are close talk about him making small adjustments. His first step may be a food journal. Just simply coming to terms with the damage we can do with food and drink can be quite sobering. I know it’s hard watching loved ones struggle. But if they don’t want that push let them find their way when they are ready. I wish the best to him on his journey to health.

this entry made me a little sad/empathetic for your brother. does he have a food addiction/dependency? If so, I can only imagine how tough that is to beat. like @BeckyBaby65too said, he needs a pivotal mind change and support. What did it for you? What did you learn/find out/feel that totally changed your perspective about your situation and your ability to change it? He needs that. I needed it myself with my diet, exercise, and other areas of my life. It's human nature. Everyone has a trigger that COMPELS them to change. His just needs to be found. (easier said than done, but don't give up).
