Really, really, really, really, really rough weekend. It was my birthday weekend, which was definitely not a bad thing! But I allowed myself to eat a lot more than I should have, of foods I really shouldn't have eaten. I went out for sushi with my friends Friday night, and did fine, but then ate some cake afterwards. Saturday (my actual birthday)was spent relaxing with my fiance and my family. I made my fiance buy me chinese food (my fave) and so I scarfed that down like I haven't eaten in weeks. I felt sick afterwards, more so from overeating I think. Then I went over to my parents house where my whole family gathered for dinner. My grandfather is in from out of town so it was more of a reason to get all my aunts and uncles over too. I told my dad that I wanted spaghetti with his sauce, and garlic bread for dinner. I was still kind of full from lunch (thank goodness) so I didn't eat too much spaghetti, but my fullness didn't stop me from eating 3 pieces of garlic bread. It was delicious. I love anything garlicky, and garlic bread is amazing. After dinner, of course we had more cake (spice cake to be exact, another favorite). Sunday, I had to work. But I ended up taking my leftover chinese for lunch because I didn't want it to go to waste. Well, it surely didn't. Sundays are usually my "restart" day. If I eat a little off schedule on Saturdays, Sundays are my days where I get back on track to start off the rest of my week. Clearly not a good start. Now today (Monday), my coworkers brought me in a cookie cake! I love my birthday, but right now its getting too hard to stay away. The issue I'm having is that I'm feeling less guilty. My extreme guilt is what keeps me in check most of the time. I don't want to lose the progress I've made, so I feel guilty about eating things I shouldn't, so I don't eat it. But the more I eat like crap, the less guilty I feel. This is not acceptable, and I need to get back on track.
