1-13-11

Rain on top of snow. Yuck.

I'm a little miffed at myself. I was very tired last night and snacked way too much. I failed to measure out my snacks and so I don't even know how many calories I consumed. Miffed. Kindness and forgiveness are called for. Today is another day and I'll just continue on but still ... not really thrilled with myself.

Had a migraine early this morning. The past couple of days hot flashes have been nearly nonexistent and now a migraine. I sure will be glad when my body decides to settle down. There are times I feel like I am living in someone else's body. I imagine whatever transitions my body is going through may be impacting the eating and weight loss thing.

Anyway. I just now made it to work. My office is a disaster. The roads are a disaster. I'm feeling very out of sync. Life goes on.

I am grateful though ... important for me to maintain the practice of gratefulness as well as kindness ...

1. Flexibility in my job so I can come in late if I need to ...

2. Our neighbor skimming off some of the snow on our driveway and private road so I could get to work today ...

3. Snacks were pretzels, hummus, peanut butter and two light beers. Could have been worse!!

4. It is warmer ... at least I am not cold!!

5. Even though I am mad at myself I am not beating up myself ...

I have felt disoriented for much too long. I know this will pass at some point but quite frankly it can't be soon enough!!! There are moments I feel more oriented, I am grateful for that. I guess I better get to my mess. Thanks for being here for me and believing in me.

It's still very cold here, and I think I like it better than rain! Of course you don't want to beat yourself up over the snacking last night. It was a mistake, and today you are going to make it right. I really hope that the migraine is gone... and won't come back!! Take care!

I think you are right...coulda been a WHOLE lot worse!! You will do better. It doesn't go on in a day and it doesn't come off in a day either. : )

The snacks weren't bad at all, just the quantity hm, not bad at all. So not worth beating yourself up at all, good for your for not doing so!

Yup it is cold and snowy here too but not too snowy. Hopefully this feeling will soon be only a memory. Remember better days are coming for both of us!!!

Pretzels and hummus? Really?? You felt guilty about pretzels, hummus and light beers? (Okay, maybe a tinge of guilt about the peanut butter is in order --but pretzels???!!!) You are being WAAAAY too hard on Carol...Give that girl a break...She's a really good girl!!

I don't think that you did too badly, Carol! Today was another day and tomorrow is another day, and Saturday is another day.....and on and on it goes! Every time that the sun rises is the opportunity to start fresh and another chance to practice kindness toward oneself!! Glad that you are practicing kindness toward Carol, because she deserves it! HUGS!
