Good Monday morning.
Decided not to weigh this morning. I stuck to my 12-8 pm feeding time but I was at a Superbowl party for much of that time. The food theme? Homemade pizza!! Very difficult to track calories there but I did taste some interesting pizzas. Very cheesy!! All of them!! How did mine turn out? Well, my DH says mine was the best tasting of the bunch. I did end up making a white pizza, a white garlic sauce with ricotta, spinach, onions, a mixture of different colored bell peppers, fresh basil, freshly grated parmesan/asiago, mozzarella, chicken, sweet italian sausage, and tomatoes. The crust wasn't great but it tasted good. Of course there was a myriad of chips and dips too but I did well there, just had a few and moved myself AWAY from their location ... oh yes ... 2 beers. Not weighing today is just a way to give my body one more day to burn through those calories and also, hopefully, a way to keep my motivation going. Today I will really watch my calories and drink my water and see what the scale says tomorrow.
Snow is lightly falling here, was yesterday too. A little nippy, I think 17 outside. Rumor has it we are headed back to single digits and maybe even zero or below weather this coming week. I hope the rumor is wrong. Love the snow, not so much the really cold temps ... although I do hope all these chilly temps kill off all the hornets, bees, and yellow jackets we had last summer that kept us from enjoying the great outdoors!
Not working today. I'm trying to take most Mondays off while DH is on this night snowplow schedule. He has Mondays off and it gives us a chance to see each other more. Fortunately my work schedule is pretty flexible. I do have to work one Monday a month as I have monthly groups to facilitate. I must say, I REALLY like having three days off a week.
I started back on my elliptical. Not doing a lot of time on it like I used to (60-90 minutes!!!) but at least doing something. I must have tweaked my left knee doing something. Yesterday when I tried to do my lunges in Pilates I could not ... it hurt. Oh the joys of getting older. So I held a couple yoga poses instead that did not hurt my knee. I can tell the difference in my body when I do the Pilates (even if I can't see any changes yet in my clothes) because I can do the poses with more strength and endurance. It is amazing to me how our bodies respond when we take proper care of them. Even if I am old, it doesn't mean I can be strong.
Well I believe I need a cup of coffee!! Laundry needs sorting and doing, must decide which yoga DVD I'll try today, and see what else needs to be done around here (oh housework you are so overrated!!!). DH is still snoozing but he did mention a possible dump run today so we'll see.

I was able to actually take off my wedding rings the other day (AMAZING!!!)
Survived an "all you can eat" pizza Super Bowl fest with out making myself miserable.
Fire started up today without too much trouble (some days it is very stubborn).
One more day off work ... and a paid holiday to look forward to in February.
Generator continues to start even though it sounds like it is on its last leg.
Beautiful snow covered trees.
