Had a fantastic weekend. The boyfriend and I finally found time to go to the natural history museum for the Sharkabet! exhibit (featuring my latest hero, Megalodon, biggest shark to've ever lived). That was followed by a nice long night drive out to get ice cream. I love living like a 12 year old :D
Got a call from Mom yesterday, saying I should fly down to Florida this weekend to be with her and my grandmother (who's still in the hospital). The original plan was for me to drive out to the rent's this weekend to celebrate my kid brother's 17th birthday, but mom hit me with "Your grandmother has cancer all through her body, on top of the blood virus". Long story short, the docs aren't even sure how she's lasted this long, as they thought back in October she may've had cancer but weren't sure where it was.
Mom's a hot mess, and I'm not sure I'll be able to handle it as I'm fairly certain I'll be spending this weekend as a crutch for her. The boyfriend is MY crutch at this point, as he managed to book me a flight with his airline miles as the airline I have miles with doesn't go to the airport I need *headdesk*. He's been uber supportive, messaging me throughout the day to check on me, requesting that I let him know if there's anything I need. I seriously think I'd have a mental breakdown if not for him right now.
