The last couple walks I kept track of my distance and time...today I walked 3.39 miles in 1 hr 4 mins...I used to walk 4 miles in an hour, so I'm really going to work on that. I tried some running, but it really hurts my knees...I've had several knee surgeries from injuries playing soccer. I'm hoping once I drop some weight my they'll feel better. I really want to start running up again.

Keep up with the walking and hopefully you'll be running again. At least you're walking and getting some exercise in. Don't push it too hard if you have knee issues, but once you've worked up to it maybe you can do walking with spurts of running during your walks.

I agree with mars2kids, don't push yourself too hard in the beginning. Listen to your body and know your limits. You definitely don't want to push yourself too hard and injure yourself! Then you won't be able to walk or run. :( It's great that you have a goal to work towards, some motivation is always good! :) You can do it!!
