This is my second journal of the day. This high calorie detox is over! I can't stand this another minute.

I know I've already blown my calories for the day so starting tomorrow I am going back to 1,300 calories/day while staying under 20 net carbs. Yes, this is going to be difficult, but it can be done. Besides, no one said it would be easy.

This is what I need to do and I am going to do this!

Under 20 carbs??? How - that is soo hard. Truthfully I could probably do it if I didn't have the dark chocolate. Is a chocolate carb the same as a regular bad for you carb? I don't think so. We can do this. I'm trying to shoot for 1400-1500 still. Wish we could take a walk together. :)

Buffy, it's hard but we have done it before and we can do it again. My RDI right now is at 2000 according to FS...yesterday I did a pretty darned good job of hitting it, too, but I think it is just getting back into the low carb swing of things. I tend to eat more while transitioning. Once my body gets used to the low carb eating again, the calories will go back down. Good luck, and have an awesome day!

Buffy you can do it, and then once your body has made that change I bet you will feel all the better for it.

Neptune - I should have specified "net carbs". And this will only be until January 15th (the end of the Challenge). I don't have your willpower!

Stef - Thanks for putting up with my whining! I was doing my best at around 1350 cals. - seems to be my magic number (Please see my note on your journal).

I did see your note, Buffy...thanks so much! As for whining??? Nope you aren't whining in the least. Want to hear whining, come to my house...my cats have gotten really good at it and are sitting on the counter whining right now to have another treat! lol Have a good day, Buffy!

Yikes....that's commitment alright! I am trying to keep to around 1400 cals per day but keeping the carbs down too...not a chance. I applaud you!! But like so many here, it's what your particular needs are to make the difference, play the hand life deals you and you will win!

DiHappy - I made a type-o above. My RDA is actually 1350 so we are about the same. BTW - life dealt me a very fat hand - LOL.

Buffy -- I cannot go willy-nilly with calories either. I don't set out to *count* but I cannot eat more than 1200-1500 and expect a loss -- even with the 20 nc a day. Not sure but suspect it is about my age, my smaller stature and the fact that I am near goal.

Gigi - Good to know I have company. Unfortunately, age does seem to have a lot to do with it. Oh well, like thy say, better than the alternative - LOL.
