The short answer, of course, is to love your FIL as you would love anyone else—unconditionally, with all your heart—but don't expect that love to be reciprocated, and don't expect everything to just "get better" one day, because it probably won't. I am so sorry you & hubby are going thru this. Try not to let it "get" to you. Many years ago my ex-husband's grandmother went thru a similar thing and I know how sad it is. I will have your and yours in my prayers. Enjoy the trip and come back refreshed Moose.

Thats got to be so hard on your husband. Just to think that the person who raised you now has no idea who you are.... but maybe it was just a little phase and he will be better next time. Good luck buddy.
