Good Morning!
Another hot day in the neighborhood. Difficult to sleep at night. It isn't cooling off enough at night to cool the house sufficiently. I am trying not to bellyache about it ... given how cold it is here most of the year ... but I am having a hard time with the warmth of it all.
Up early this morning so I could open all the downstairs windows and cool off the house as much as possible. You can take the man out of the city but you can't take the city out of the man. Despite the fact we live in the middle of nowhere my dear hubby still will not leave the downstairs windows open at night. Safety you know!!
I'm glad it is Thursday and he will have his procedure done today. He has been so darned uncomfortable. I'm sure it will all go smoothly and he'll be feeling better very soon. Positive thoughts and prayers though are always appreciated!!
I got brave this morning and stepped on the scale. 216.4. Yup. Ugly isn't it??? So I think I may have mentioned my mom and I will be travelling to California at the beginning of October to spend time with two of my aunts. One is my mom's older sister, the one she spends considerable time with since she retired. The other is my mom's youngest sister who is just 6 months older than me. While my ultimate weight goal is 180 if I can get down to 190 by October I would be ecstatic. Oh how I wish I didn't do this over and over and over and over again but I do. I know how to avoid it but clearly I make choices that do not align with what is needed. Such is life.
I never did do Pilates yesterday. I may or may not today. I probably will. Maybe right after I finish this journal? I find if I don't do it first thing in the morning it just doesn't happen. Yesterday was a little upside down with being home with hubby and trying to get my materials organized for the grant review I am participating in. Oh well. I ate well. I recorded all my food. Drank plenty of water. It's okay.
So ... I guess ... I better wrap this up so I have time to check in on a few of you and perhaps actually pull out the mat and do a little exercise. The dishes are done, breakfast is in the wings, and a full day of taking care of the man.
Take care buddies ... it does feel good to be here again!! Even if I didn't maintain my losses and my weight chart goes up and down like tidal waves!!!
