Crustless Bacon Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

A low carb alternative to a scrumptious quiche.

材料

做法

  1. Chop up bacon and cook in non-stick pan. When done, remove from pan and set aside.
  2. Add butter to bacon grease in the pan and sauté onions and mushrooms till tender.
  3. Stir in spinach and cook through for a further 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large bowl whisk eggs. Add the cream, salt and pepper and whisk.
  5. Add the bacon, mushroom and spinach mixture and stir well.
  6. Stir in shredded cheese.
  7. Pour mixture into a greased (cooking spray) 10" pie plate and bake at 350 °F (175 °C) for 35-40 minutes or until set and slightly browned.
  8. Allow quiche to stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving. Freezes well. Enjoyed as a snack or a main meal served with salad.

WW = 8 points ... but what constitutes a "serving"?

Help?!? This recipe's Nutrition Facts says it's ONE serving? with 5.21g of carb. Could someone give me the actual number of servings in the total recipe? it looks delicious and I can't wait to try it, but need verification of the carb count please :)

OMGosh, this was fantastic. I have used this guide to create some other quiches like the pizza one which my kids LOVED!!! Turkey pepperoni, turkey italian sausage, green pepper, onions, olives, and mozeralla cheese. This was perfect for a change for breakfast. It has become my fast favorite, I will make it again and again with many different variations as I love to experiment with food flavors. I think Mexican next time.

oh yeah I replaced the spinach with chopped broc, and added smoked real bacon bits!
