ok, so far so good this weekend. My son & his girlfriend are in town and also my best friend from IL, BUT I am holding to my plan and was open about it to them (something I never use to do and felt ashamed in the past). They are accepting my eating decisions even though they do say, oh just one won't hurt and this food is healthy also, but I just stick to my plan, smile and either don't say anything or say 'no, thank you' again. And it seems to finially be sinking in. It is just difficult to have the temptation around me and not partake in it, BUT I have found that now I am taking more energy to be there, contribute to the conversation, smile more, relax and play more so the energy that use to be 'used up' eating the wrong things for me, now is being replaced with energy to be ME and enjoy those people close to me. I feel GOOD :-)
