Yes, it is very weird not worrying so much about keeping carbs extremely low...I almost never look at the carb count, now that it is so ingrained in my brain. I can handle a small apple a day, try to eat just the low carb veggies and max out the fat (I am known to eat butter plain) On paleo, I have cut back more on the cheese and dairy...though I do eat the carbmaster yogurts for my dairy fix almost on a daily basis...It gets easier if you mainly look at your percentages of fat, protein and carbs and aim for 65%, 25% and 10%. Try to be "good" 85% of the time, and have an occasional cheat and you will find life a lot easier. I hope that works for you as it has for me. Glad to be buddies!
