Felt pretty good this morning, but ate lunch at mom's. Too much and now I am in a coma.
We both went to KB's this morning to return her cat to her from the vet, where he has been getting a 5-day treatment for a UTI caused by her feeding him junk food. She has a combination of dementia and defiance, so an hour after we drop him off, KB's caregiver texts me to say the cycle is starting all over again despite her pleading with KB to stop feeding him junk food. KB is angry with mom and me and doesn't like us telling her what to do. I know this cat is her baby, but she is killing him, and I am afraid I need to take him away. I don't know which would be worse... me allowing her to kill the cat or the emotional devastation she will feel if I take him away.
Dementia brings a new problem every day, and I feel powerless to do much about it. Mr C says to think of it as dealing with a 3 year old.
