I gained this week, a bit disappointing, but oddly, I'm okay. I'm trying my best to not let the numbers freak me out. I've placed it all in God's hands. I'm doing my best to just follow his lead. I did eat too many sweets this weekend and those sent me over my 1600 calories, so I'm going to have to be more cautious about that.
The real exciting thing to report is that I did finally get to the gym. Three times!!! I've been talking myself out of it for too long. I paid for this membership, I should use it!!
Well, I've gotta run, I have a mid-term tomorrow and I need to be studying. You are all in my prayers.
7 Things I'm Grateful For:
1. My Mom - With school taking up a bunch of my time, I'm having to rely on my mom more and more to take care of my son and she has stepped up to the task. She rocks!!
2. The guy on the mountain - My nephew was snowboarding yesterday and crashed. Unfortunately, nobody saw him crash and he sat there for a long time unable to move. Finally, some guy noticed this lump of a person off to the side and went to check on him. Who knows how long he would have been out there otherwise.
3. Doctors & Emergency Personnel - I don't usually like doctors, but when they were taking care of my nephew who has torn ligament in his knee, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung - they were needed.
4. Dr. Scholl's Shoe Inserts - Oh how they change the way my shoes feel.
5. Patience - My nephew-in-law is moving into my basement. Thank You, God for the patience you give me to deal with this and so many other frustrating situations.
6. Sunshine - The past two days have been BEAUTIFUL!! The sun is shining so bright, the sky is an absolutely beautiful shade of the blue and the clouds are few and fluffy.
7. Hope - I'm easily distracted and easily depressed, but God has done something amazing my life in the last few months and brought real hope back to me. Despair, worry, and stress are giving way to that precious feeling of hope.
