October 1. I'm starting anew by recording everything I eat today. I started going off track with our anniversary dinner on 9/20. Then our daughter came home with her boyfriend for a week. We had pizza, fries, donuts: everything that has been pretty much off-menu for me for a year. I have to admit I enjoyed that crap food. I'm weak for sweets and grease. But I know I can kick it again. Must practice saying NO and pushing away the plate.

It's more elusive the closer I get! I've had the feedbag on, big time. Maybe I can blame it on the cooler weather. haha Well, I looked at your progress, Fledgist, and you have fewer pounds to go than I do! Way to go!

well a two week break is no big deal. You had a great time with your husband, daughter and her boyfriend. Now back to it. SO 5 lbs at a time no big deal. :)

Ceebee and k8, thanks for the encouraging words! I was feeling a little disgusted with my detour, but I'm over it and feeling great this morning. The junk food does have its charms, but I absolutely prefer eating clean. It tastes better, and I feel WAY better when I eat healthy. So it really is a no-brainer.
