So yesterday we held a family cookout. I was up working so much, making sure everyone was taken care of that I didn't really have time to eat or worry about all the food there. I did set aside time for a small plate consisting of potato salad, baked beans, crab salad, 2 pieces of chicken from the grill, and a scoop of rice. The was for the whole day. I had a great time and had it all under control. I drank water all day. My family is know for drinks and the dreaded shot time, so I had 2 shots and called it a day when they kept going.

The only thing that kinda got to me was a lot of backward compliments on losing weight. I got a lot of "Oh you look great, but don't lose anymore". "How much are you going to lose, you're going to look like a crack head". That one just had me laughing it off and getting up to clean up any garbage and look around for something to do. It was a strange feeling to feel awkward because I lost weight. #confused #justalittletickedoff

On another note, I almost reached my goal!!!!!!!!

Well done!!! You survived the cookout, dealt with the 'compliments', and as good as made your goal. Your family will get used to the new slimmer you, and I bet some will be asking for tips soon! Anyway I hope you are feeling proud of yourself. You certainly should be! 😀😀😀

Sounds like you did very well. Sometimes when we make positive changes other people become insecure and then say things to discourage us - you just keep moving forward and taking care of you!
