First big upward swing in this weight loss. Thankfully, the culprit is clear. I was hanging out with a couple of friends last night, around a cheeseboard, crackers, smoked salmon, olives. Wine and cake. The trifecta of sugar, salt, and alcohol late in the day. Let’s see how long it will take to go back down. No drastic changes. Eating normal today.

Writingwyo, I hope it’s salt but the truth is my calories have been going up lately, too. Trying to figure out now how to firm up my still weak exercise routines, or just generally to move more. I wish I had a passion for something like you do for cross country skiing.

Already the weight went down this morning 1.3 lbs, so indeed it was just a bump. Not recording it yet, as I’m trying to keep a regular weekly schedule for that. At 160.2 lbs, hope to break into the new “decade” soon! Though on the horizon, another Friday evening with friends and sweet and salty and boozy stuff, plus a Super Bowl party. Should probably lower my expectations for weight loss and just try to maintain.
