Ok so here I am, and here I will stay until I have reached my target, which is to reverse my diabetes symptoms. Just diagnosed last week and so am aiming on greatly reducing my carb and fat intake and losing those extra pounds which seem to have appeared since I stopped walking the kids to school (13 years ago, lost my horse - so no more mucking out etc - 3years ago and no longer have any dogs to walk. So the exercise aspect has to improve lots. We have a treadmill and my challenge to myself is 30 minutes a day on the weight loss programme, level 2, to start with, having weekends off. Cutting out sugar so far is no loss to me, don't eat that much in cakes and biscuits (even though I love baking) or snacky stuff though unfortunately I do love my chocolate. Just for the record I have lost 8kg in the last 6 months simply through cutting down portion sizes.

Thanks. I have done loads of research and have several sites bookmarked. Always looking for new ideas though.
