Oh man, I am having a rotten day. My sister-in-law sent my husband an awful message last night. I'm sure a lot of you mothers can attest that after having a baby that your hormones can make you do some crazy things. Well, my SIL decided to unleash her crazy onto my husband last night, who is in Colorado, and has not talked to her in a week. He said she just went off on him, completely unprovoked. So I, of course, am very protective over people I care about so there's a battle now a-brewing between her and I. All morning. I have always bit my lip when she's been rude to him or me, mainly because their own mother asked me to, yes her own mother. But, this is too far. Uncalled for and I will not have it. Lots of arguing all morning via email, via Facebook, via text. Blah.
AND I'm so sick of all this political jarring. The votes are counted, can we please move on and figure this out instead of calling names and being so petty? Geez, it's no wonder our nation is going down the crapper....
Ack, thanks for letting me vent....I don't mean for this to be a political message so let's not start that on here....

Oh, I just hate the anxiety that comes from waiting for the next reply... wishing you a smooth recovery once SIL (and the election outcome hype) calms down.

I second that. My family lives on the other side of the continent and when I hear these stories I again say "may God bless and keep them all; far away from me!" I have a sister that can send me into a binge eating frenzie if I let her. Stay strong and keep your inner-peace. I know it's hard, but we're all rooting for you!

Sissy, that's how MY mother is and how my SIL is too....we just butt heads...apparently being 3 hours away isn't far enough!!!

Hubby comes home tonight so I'm trying to focus on that!! It has been a bit of a stressed out one, but it'll all blow over....and if not, we don't live there so it's not like we HAVE to deal with her...

I'll bet my day was more rotten than yours! Haha. Well, maybe not. Anyway, I'm sure it will feel much better when DH gets home. Don't give SIL so much power over your emotions. Let DH deal with her; he's a big boy. Enjoy your evening!

DK is bang on. I know how hard it can be to bite your lip, but DK is right. Nobody has power over you unless you give it to them. To temper your response which may be coming at me, let me add... How many times have I had to learn this? I'd say just end it and let things settle out now.

I let hubby deal with it, I didn't even have to voice my opinion, he was mad enough without it....she did however call me an a-hole....so I can't say that there won't be any words with her in the future...
