I don't know what happened. I totally went off the reservation the entire month of September. I'm talking night filled with luscious red wines and imported meats and cheeses. The realization hit me that I have absolutely no discipline when left to my own devices. The good news is that I only gained .2 pounds. The other good news is that I have group support now.
I saw Dr. Karen Wolfe speak at Center for Spiritual Learning in Mission Viejo (CSL) at their once a month business networking event, so we asked her to come present to our CSL Newport Mesa business group and now 11 of us are going on the Sugar Buster Program together. For one week we detox using protein shakes and supplements with unlimited veggies(no sugar, no aspartame, no wheat, limited fruit). Then after this detox week we start a discipline of eating small portions every 3 hours of a lean protein and a veggie or fruit. I am so happy to have a support group to keep me accountable!!!
I highly recommend Dr. Wolfe's book "Is your lifestyle killing you". It sounds harsh, but it really explains how blood sugar affects our health and how bad processed foods rich in sugar and chemicals are for us!!!
