I ate poorly all weekend. Saturday was our anniversary, so we splurged at the nicest place in town. I had my favorite dish, duck, and he had veal. I tasted the veal and didn't like it all that much. Also had a salad Niçoise and Paris tea cake for dessert. One glass of wine from Les Baux and a non-alcoholic cocktail. Went to Mom's on Sunday and she loaded my plate with bbq ribs, potato salad, rice, broccoli, and green salad. I am a grown woman. Why am I letting my mother feed me like a child? I couldn't eat it all even though she was insisting. I went home feeling sick and depressed, but I feel much better this morning. Feeling so rotten gives me resolve to do better. Am I weak or disciplined? Say no to sweets.

Thank you, HCB! I had a light and healthy lunch today, so... so far, so good! I feel hopeful. Now if I can just get through the rest of the day.
