Well, well, well. This almost 47 year old up and quit her job of 15 years, about a month ago. It will be four weeks this Thursday. I quit on the spot due to months of not being happy with “new management “ (aka spoiled rotten son who took over mommy and daddy’s business) and also because the one other person that worked under me in my department also quit two weeks earlier and my “boss” did a HORRIBLE job even looking for someone to replace her, and the person he hired was an absolute joke, but I was being told over and over to give him a chance. He came in late everyday, in the am and after lunch, would come back after lunch, then eat chips at his desk, took zero notes and basically just did not listen to what I was trying to teach him, so I just up and quit for my mental health!

Anyways, I got off on that tangent, but needless to say, I’ve taken quite a little break and have been soaking up the sun by the pool and drinking alcohol almost daily, and just sitting at home so eating all the time it seems!!!

Thankfully my older brother lives with me and it has now been his time to pick up my “slack”. He knows I mentally needed this break. My son and I go to Vegas this weekend for spring break (he’s ten, so it will be mild lol) but this trip has been planned and paid for since January, so I’m looking forward to that and will really hit the job search market when we return. PS, whatever happened to the old way of looking for a job? I’m decently computer literate, but this whole thing of doing everything online SUCKS!!!!
I digressed again! I exercised about ten days in March, but then fell off a slide and hurt my tailbone pretty bad so haven’t done any exercise besides some yard work in about two weeks. I’ve been noticing that scale creep up daily and I normally NEVER let myself get past 135, so I know I have some work to do!!! Back on it today, but will enjoy my 3 days in Vegas at the end of this weekend/part of next week!!!

Sorry for the book. Guess I haven’t socialized much lately!!!!!

That sounds so tough. I'm sorry for the mess with work that required such a step, but perhaps this will direct you to somewhere you will love with new and better opportunities. Enjoy your trip and treasure the time with your little lad!
