@merm Holy shit! I thought I was the only note victim. Scratch that. I mean "note survivor." We acronymed the personality type ages ago - TMFT - Too Much Free Time. The whole note thing is fucking insane. I must have gotten 5+ notes on my last car, mostly from women who felt personally entitled to non-reserved community parking spaces or who felt the need to create or enforce parking rules. The worst are Dude Karens IME. One middle school dad left a whole package under my windshield wiper, complete with a typewriten letter and webpage printouts Over a minor dispute between the kids over THE COLOR of a Bluetooth speaker.

LMAO I couldn't come up with a way to respond to the anon car note. This one dude playing with his kid in the park area across the street yelled "you always drive like that when there are kids around?" when I pulled up in front of the house a little hot one day. Ignored. Continued yelling. Continued ignoring. I mean my kids were there so it seemed self evident. Subsequently made friends with his dog, who loves me, as dogs do. Unfortunately, this resulted in his angrily yanking on the dogs leash whenever he tried to come say hi.

I later spotted a woman walking the dog and we exchanged pleasantries and dog chat a couple times, which seemed a promising channel for some passive aggressive energy. Then one day I spot anger dude and dog mom dog walking at the same time. Separately. With separate dogs.....

For younger dudes, I prefer Karen to Chad. It's more pejorative and tweaks them even more. For angry boomer and older dudes, I prefer OJ, to be sure they can grasp the cultural reference.

@kat If only. #2 borrowed the friends speaker at school. Left it at mom's. Gave the friend his exact same but different color speaker as replacement. The kids were fine with this solution. Friends dad, not so much. The letter contained a detailed explanation of why the speaker was so important and special. I really try not to judge. I mean, who knows, maybe this guy has terminal cancer and his wife pinches him awake every night because he canceled his life insurance. Still, plenty of dudes with horrific wives and/or cancer never send that letter.... TMFT
