I Have been exercising everyday and eating much better, but I am not seeing the difference in the scale. This week I actually gained a pound. Very disappointing. I know it may be water weight or muscle gain, but I want the scale to go down and my pants size to go down and then it won't all feel like a waste.

If you just started an exercise plan, your muscles might be retaining water. (The fibers tear, and water is replaced to help them heal.) It can cause a temporary gain. It will take time for exercise to work. Strength training will help you see quicker results (size wise). You are doing good. Have patience!
