Should have known that weight loss was just a fluke - water loss from the steroids, I guess. The good news is my knee is better, though the Dr. told me NOT to run on it. I've started on the Treadclimber & so far, so good. I'm only going about 2/5 mph on it because I still feel some lower back pain, and I'm working on balance. But I hope to get up to 3 mph in the next week.
As for diet, well the treadclimber came with a "meal plan" of sorts, focusing on "smart carbs" and a protein/fat/carbs ratio similar to the Runner's Diet. It's recommending about 1400 cals daily, with some ideas for portion sizes & controls. I bought a whole bunch of groceries & plan to follow the simple meals for the next 2 weeks. We'll see what happens....
