So all that work and sleeping allowed me to hit a new low. Now, this new low may be the result of dehydration or just sleeping a while but here it is. I stand about 1.1 lbs away from my next goal.

Now on the Hurricane Sandy front:

1) Gas Shortage - While I do not see people lined up with gas cans right now, I think the shortage is still in effect. If I wanted to get gas, I'd have to wait 3+ hours in a line that snakes up the block. Insanity. Hurricane Katrina was 3-4 times worse than Sandy and the people in New Orleans really suffered because the FEMA response and the level of devastation was significantly higher. But believe me, the people here in NYC are suffering especially in the Rockaways, Coney Island and Staten Island.

2) Nor'Easter Coming - As if we didn't need another storm, here comes a nor'easter up the eastern seaboard a week after Sandy. It will pack 40-60 mph winds and chill the air. More weather suffering from Mother Nature for NYC. I'd better secure my temporary fence. I don't know if It will hold against another full blast of wind.

3) Telecommuting for the near future - I was told to telecomute monday and Tuesday but with the nor'easter coming I might be telecomuting all week. Two weeks at home...wow. Mother Nature is testing our resolve.
