It is insidious to be thinking I can splurge and then take it right back off, since that is exactly what I “have” been thinking. That once I am Keto adapted, I can splurge a couple of times a week. However even though I lost the weight I wanted, probably because of IF, my daily carb amounts are never, or rarely, low enough to truly be called Keto. For instance, today I ate 34 net carb grams, and it is usually that or more, plus I usually eat too much protein. I bought some Keto strips but haven't used them yet because with high carbs and protein, why bother? But I have lost weight. Where it took me almost 11 months to lose 8 pounds, once I started IF and cut my carbs I lost 12 pounds in less than 3 months. May not seem like a lot to others but at my low weight it's wonderful. In the past, when I was under 118 it would take me a month to lose 1 pound. Once upon a time, I fell off the wagon, with a small dish of ice cream at our daughter's for Mother's Day, and it was an entire year before I managed to get back on track. I have less control of myself than I would wish, and it's better for me to stay in a good “roll” than try to change “tracks”. If I have a bite of cake, I want 3 or 4 pieces. My husband can have a bite of something and enjoy it. I cannot. My weight today is up a lb, The only thing “off” I ate yesterday was ¼ of a 15oz can of baked beans. OK, guess I won't be doing that again even though I have lots of them in the house as an emergency supply. Eating window today 6.5 hours.
