My hotel scale keeps showing 232 or so..definately less than when i arrived in London but its been stagnant since about a week ago. I cannot wait to get home and get on my digital scale. I need to make sure that I am not doing something wrong. I feel better, I know I have lost weight but until I get confirmation at home of the true digital weight then everything is a crap shoot guess. I am guessing I am under the 232 mark.

Found out this morning that one of my best friend's mother had passed away Sunday night. She had been battling Diabetes and high blood pressure and had a dialysis schedule as well as a colostomy bag. Anyway, that makes three of our moms who have passed away in less than a year. My friend Marcelo's mom passed in October, my own mother passed away in July and now my friend Dave's mom passes away on Sunday. Their is an old wives tale in South America (where my folks are from) that says things happen in threes. Maybe its just a silly coincidence.

So I have to no arrange to have flowers sent to the wake and hope that my wife can someone make the wake as support for my friend. I guess we will see. I know the moms are in a better place but the heart still aches to see them.

Every year on my birthday, my mom would call me first thing in the morning to wish me a happy birthday. This year, my birthday fell a month after she passed and there was no call. It was the saddest day besides the day she passed...

Anyway, onward and upward. To all, take the time to call your parents and loved ones. Acknowledge how much you love them and share sweet words with them of support because you never know how much time you may have with them.

Today, I may just eat fruit and see if that helps me flush my bowels out. Finally went yesterday (i know...TMI) but I know i need to flush it out.

Update: Ok scratch the fruit flush idea. I will just stick to my normal diet and keep going. Maybe eat more fibrous fruit, apples and pineapples.

Sorry to hear about your friends' moms and also yours. It is very hard to lose a parent. I lost my mom when I was 16 and it still is hard sometimes.

Yeah, actually I found myself tearing as I was writing that. I don't think there will ever be a time where she is out of my mind. My mother was my driving force and the one who always supported me (also with my dad). When you have great parents, it certainly gives you a leg up on everyone else. Thanks to my mom, I have a good center..
