Okay, restart. 20 years ago I lost 23 lb in 18 days by cutting my fat intake to < 5g/day, eating 6-8x/day, doing half an hour of Richard Hittleman's "Weight Control through Yoga" 6 days/wk. At the time 23 lb amounted to about 15% of my weight. True, now I'm 20 years older, menopausal, taking medications, and less active... but losing 15% of my weight now would put me at 190, and that's a goal worth pursuing!
This morning I'm having a slice of pumpernickle, a glass of OJ with my pills, and black tea.
My husband has several scans scheduled at the hospital today, and while he's there I'll do a little grocery shopping: lean turkey for me, high protein shit for him (he just got out of nursing home & needs to build his strength - he lost 140 lb in less than 2 yrs).
