I got yelled at by my doctor when I didn't gain weight while pregnant because my eating habits changed so much. That was a long time ago, and theories may have changed since then, but you're doctor is in on the diet plan, right? 

Hmm this reminds me when I got pregnant with my oldest. Doc said ‘you are underweight. Normally I’d advise gaining 15-20#, but for you I’d say you need to gain 20-30#.’ I went the next appointment so excited that I’d managed to eat a whole medium pizza daily and gained the 20#! THEN he told me he had meant throughout the entire pregnancy haha. Ended up gaining about 40# total :/. Second was better and gained 20, last was super underweight again at 107 so I gained 35ish with her. 10# immediately as I knew I needed the nutrition and fat and the rest during the rest of the pregnancy. A friend is overweight and lost weight with each of her kids. Another friend eats normally and gained a good 100# from both kids but she found out she has health issues which contributed more than anything.

Thank you everyone for the support! I'm not pregnant anymore :) had my baby about a month ago, just haven't gotten online to change my profile. I'm so excited to be within 100 lbs of my goal weight. Which still sounds like alot. But I'm already down 35lbs from pregnancy weight and 15lbs from prepregnancy.  

Not sure if you are nursing but dieting can reek havoc with nursing! However nursing does cause you to burn more calories overall. I noticed when I pumped that I still burned more calories (just an idea for when you are ready to wean if nursing). Good job on the loss! Losing weight right after having a baby isn’t an easy thing to do nursing or not!
