Well, I've been following this for 2 weeks and have lost 3 pounds.I have tried to follow pretty closly (except for last Saturday when I went to the shore with friends and ate 3 slices of pizza) I was hoping for a faster weight loss, especially in the beginning. I take a Beta blocker and pain meds. Could that be slowing me down?

Using the daily food diary really helps me keep track of what I am eating. I can not seem to keep my daily carbs under 20 which is discouraging. Too many veggies & too much cheese? Also have a friend who is telling me (often) how dangerous the Atkins diet is because she knows someone who went on it and that person's Doctor told him to never go on Atkins because it would damage his heart. Sorry I told her!!

No matter what you are down 3 pounds which is great. We would all like it to fall off faster, but our bodies don't always do what we want. For some people, Atkins is great, others, not so much. If you are happy, then keep going. You are doing fine.
