Today I went to the Dr. to get my first B12 shot. I asked the nurse to make a note in my chart that I am beginning Atkins on Monday. She then asked me why I chose this diet over something like W8W. Seriously? I feel that this diet is the way that I should be eating. On W8W, you can still eat all the things that make you fat and unhealthy but in smaller portions. I need to work on new habits of both smaller portions and the foods that I put in my body.

I am super excited to get started. I am planning on going to the grocery store tomorrow and getting all the foods that Travis and I will need for the first two weeks. I am going to have to pack his lunches for this from now on. We are going to have to make dinner every night and I am super excited about my best friend doing the life style with me! I am so ready for this change in my life. I need to do this change so that I can be a good role model for my son. I also hope to have more children and I want to be healthy for them too.

Eggs are the one item that I am going to have to get used to again. When I did the diet years ago with my parents I got so sick of eggs from the first two weeks that I would vomit at the sight, smell and thought of eggs. I've slowly become more tolerant of them though.
