I have been "heavy" at various sizes since I was 7. I have a 3 year old daughter now, and my goal is for her not to know that food is such an issue for me. I have been able to control my eating for the past three weeks, which is better than I've done in a few years. I have been most successful when giving up sugar and flour, except for no sugar added ice cream (preferably in portion-controlled bars). I am tired of weight and food being such a significant part of my life. I think that therapy and diet are the keys to success, if one can find what works for her/himself. It has taken the past three weeks for me not to be "white-knuckling it." This website is a godsend! Thank you to everyone out there!
