I am a 59 year old married mother of one 20 year old daughter. I live in Middletown, DE

I have struggled with my weight for most of the past 30+ years. At one point in time I lost over 100 pounds but over the course of time regained the weight and a few more pounds. I have tried lots of diets and they simply do not work. I am tired of this roller coaster. I realize that it is up to me to change my eating habits and this is not something you do for a couple months. This needs to be a lifetime commitment.

Since January 2016, I was "retired" from DuPont after 39 years. Shortly after that my Mom passed away. With my daughter off to college my husband and I decided to sell our house and downsize to a 55+ community. 2016 has been a year of changes but we are finally settled in our new home and now it is time to take care of myself so I can enjoy a long and healthy retirement. I have high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and am borderline diabetic. I need to take control of my weight for once and for all - No excuses.

Recommitment and goals are:

Goal #1: Restart diet on February 8th. Weighed in 223bs. Goal 150lbs - 1 lb at a time.

Goal #2: Increase water consumption and eliminate diet sodas.

Goal #3: Get moving more - Swim, water aerobics, walking, treadmill, Tai Chi

Goal #4: Food goals - 40% Carbs, 30% Protein, 30% Fats

Goal #5: Celebrate milestones along the way!

Got to make good choices and get moving!
