Why are these things always so hard to write? Anyway, here goes…

Personal:
Adorkable nerd who loves her family, BF, friends, Blackhawks, Dodgers, awesome music, GOT, TWD, reading, and making jewelry. I believe that The Force is greater than magic. Never been married, but have been living with my boyfriend for close to 7 years. We live in the Bay Area with our 3 little senior mutts.

Have been overweight for most of my life, my heaviest at almost 300lbs. I need to let that sink in again. I weighed almost 300 POUNDS!

Foodstuff:
Don’t like the word “diet” - sounds too restricting. Don’t like “lifestyle” - sounds too touchy-feely. Does that make sense? So even though I don’t like “diet”, I do like “flexible dieting” aka IIFYM (if it fits your macros) and its concept: “Instead of forcing yourself to follow a set of rigid, unsustainable rules to lose fat or stay healthy, you take a more relaxed and long-term perspective on your diet”.

I guess that’s why I like the Weight Watchers and Mike Samuels’ approach to flexible dieting. I can eat both healthy and, sometimes, unhealthy foods and not beat myself up about it. As long as I stay within my WW Points, while keeping track of my macros, I can lose weight and I have. A little over 40lbs as of 8/25/16.

Activity:
As far as activity or exercise goes, I’ve definitely stepped up my game. “Stepped” up, get it? Yeah, I’m a dork. I try to get in 10k steps a day and since I have a desk job that is difficult to achieve. Having a 1-1.5hr each way commute doesn’t help either.

T, Th: 5k Training
Sa:DOUBLE DAY: 5k & Zombies, Run!
Su: Rest Day
