I am a 52 year old woman who lives in Northeast Pennsylvania. I have never had to diet before in my life, so this is a new experience for me. Unfortunately, I have put the weight on because of some medical issues. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia which has lead to a sedentary lifestyle. I have also recently come out of a severe depression which made me basically not care about anything and I was practically bedridden. Because of the depression I have been put on a medication which has made me gain weight and going through menopause certain hasn't helped either. But that's enough of the bad stuff in my life.

I am very involved in my church and am one of the leaders in our Singles Group. The group has helped to get me out of the house and doing things I used to do before my illnesses. Besides bible studies, we go to movies, concerts, do hikes, picnics, boating, kayaking and many more activities. I have made a lot of new friends with the same values I have which is very important to me.

I am a degreed Accountant but live on disability. I am try to start my own accounting business so I can work part-time and when I want to. I just got my first client, a local VFW. They just require a couple hours a week and I get to pick the day I go in. I just need to make sure if I stay and visit with my friends at the bar, that I order water instead of beer or a mixed drink. I definitely don't need to add liquid calories during this diet.

I have been using FS for a week now and am really enjoying the site. Having to keep a diary of my food has really helped me stay on track. I also love the journaling aspect that allows other people to comment and encourage your journey.

I'm not using any specific diet. I'm just watching what I eat and doing portion control. I'm also trying to get back into exercising but it's hard at this point in time. I'm only able to do 2 minutes on my elliptical but it can only increase from there. My goal is to lose 50 lbs but I wou
