Welp no bootcamp or hair fixing yesterday (major roots!), but I have all the stuff I need to take care of it with me today, so after I get off work today, I am headed over to get it all done! I need to get back to the bootcamp thing.

I over slept and didn't make it to the gym this morning. I don't feel too horrible about it because my legs are sore from the last two days. I still plan to do bootcamp though... Gosh, if only there were 5 more hours in a day :)

I am almost back to where I was at my last weigh in, damn fluctuations, I am starting to think they are hormonal and a result of my birth control. I am confident that I will be back there (and hopefully lower) by Saturday. I am pounding water like a crazy person and have been trying to lower my carb intake. I have also been debating lowering my calorie intake, but I am still hesitant. According to the BMR calculator I have been using my BMR is 1614. To maintain my weight in a sedentary lifestyle, it says I should be consuming 1937 cal per day. For maintenance with a lightly active lifestyle I should be consuming 2220 cal per day. Maybe just begin to lower it on the days when I am not active? It is so hard to plan for unless I don't eat during the day and chow down at dinner.... I really need to get one of those high tech scales that will monitor my body fat and water weight... just can't afford it right now.

I might recommend NOT skipping lunch-even if all you get is a protein bar. I have found my results are much better when breakfast and lunch are each larger than my dinnertime intake. I have my RDI set low at 1213, but it's helping me lose a little slowly while still eating! When I need a little "jumpstart" I will eat a LARGE breakfast (approved foods-not crazy foods of course), then a slightly smaller lunch, then a very light dinner, such as an all-greens salad with low cal dressing. Because you're getting most of the calories at the start of the day, its easier to slow down the eating at night, as you're using what you have taken in, instead of relying on dinner to catch you up. I also recommend the unsweetened almond milk over the soy. The calories are even with the sweetened version, but if you use the unsweetened, you drop the bulk of the "empty" calories, without dropping flavor! Good job dropping the lb, and here's to many more on your journey!!

Great job with a lb down!! I agree with the above, even if you can start for one week adding in a meal durign the day it will def help.

hahaha I could never "skip" eating. I am concerned with dropping my calories too low during the day when I don't think I will be working out in the evenings, then actually working out and being too low in calories and having to compensate with dinner. Like say I plan to stick to 1200 or so because I don't plan on working out, then going to the gym anyways and having to pad my dinner calories to make sure I have enough for the day. I usually eat my bigger meals during the day, mainly lunch. Skipping meals is like prompting me to be a b*&%$. Sometimes with the drastic mood swings I get when I am hungry, I wonder if I am hypoglycemic or something :)

as for the glycemic levels, there are tons of little snacks out there (Luna bars for one) that you can have if you feel yourself slipping, that will keep you going without all the icky stuff from say, chips or a candy bar. I keep the Luna bars on hand in case I need a mid-day snack-they have a low glycemic index which means they'll stick with you longer and won't affect blood sugar drastically.
