I spent some time yesterday with a second grader and learned a little lesson. She was eating a small bag of cheetos and really enjoying every minute of it, from sucking on them to the orange coated fingers that came as a result. Then she just closed the bag when it was still halfway full and moved on to doing something else fun.
Most of us with weight issues seem to finish things...the bag, everything on our plate, the whole enchilada. This kid took pleasure in her food and just walked away when she had enough.
I like her style. :)

That's the way most thin people eat. My sister was always skinny. She ate whatever she wanted, but stopped when she was satiated. She had a draw full of candy and ate a couple of pieces when she felt like it. If we could all do that, we wouldn't be her, lol.

Great story! It is wonderful when we can learn from children. Like many of us here, I would have inhaled that bag in less than a second, LOL. I like her style, too.

That's a very good story, and a very true story! But if it was me, that bag would of lasted 30 seconds lol.

Thanks for sharing! I observe that with my young son too. He eats small meals throughout the day and goes about his business when he is full. I'd love to adopt his eating habits!
