I have been calorie counting since mid Jan 2012 and now it is time to move on to the next stage, ie to pay attention to the amount of fat I am consuming daily. Read somewhere that for my calorie intake the total fat consumption should not exceed 80 grams a day and I am closer to 110 grams. So that is 30 g of fat that have to go... somehow. If you eat excess fat, your body turns it into bad cholesterol and triglycerides which burden your liver and can also cause blockage of the arteries. Scary stuff, no? My recent blood tests placed me on the high borderline category and I am seeing my GP Tuesday to discuss this problem.
