Had heavy rain last night but it is supposed to be sunny and in the 70's this afternoon! Perfect weather for my new peach tree and all the flowers I planted last Saturday.
Too muddy to walk in the park this noon so I'll power walk through Wal-Mart and kill 2 birds with one stone.
DH is still on the fence about joining me on this WOE. One minute he is eating salad and the next he is ordering pizza. Will try again to fill the refrigerator with good food. He just has to make up his mind - I cannot do that for him.

I can't believe you planted flowers in February, I am MONTHS away from that yet! Power walking through Wal-Mart, you are a true multi-tasker with that plan. Your DH sounds just like somebody else I know. All you can do is what you are doing & let him figure it out, it does sound like he is making good progress though & that's a great start! You are being an awesome leader!!

Mother Nature can be so helpful from time to time when she's not brewing up a tornado or hurricane! Excellent job (MANY pats on the back) for passing up the pizza on the counter - Way to go!! Will that peach tree produce right away or does it take a few years?

GG - Planting in February may have been a foolhardy thing. We had bought them before realizing it was going to get colder and snow Sunday night. But I covered everything with a big pile of leaves so I think they will be OK.

I can't wait to do some gardening this year! Our new house has a large fenced off gardening area. Now... how do I obtain a green thumb?

Sandy - Thanks for the pat on the back. The peach tree was only about 3' high so it should take a few years to produce. We already have plum trees and I think they'll fertilize each other. Maybe a true gardener on this site will advise?

Linday - a new house is like having a blank canvas. I bet you'll have a beautiful home by the end of summer. Can't help you with the green thumb. I plant it and if it lives - it lives. If not, I just try planing something else the following year.

Hi BuffyBear, thanks for becoming my buddy. :) Is DH ur husband? I have tried to encourage my husband who happens to be 11 yrs younger than me
but he isn't ready yet. As a matter of fact, ever since I tried to encourage him, he seems to be eating twice as much, go figure?

MGEZ - Nice to hear from you! Husbands are a funny bunch aren't they? Mine would probably do the same thing if he thought I was nagging him. Maybe when they see us continue to lose weight they'll get the picture.
