I began dieting last Sunday (15th Jan) because I can no longer do any activity without excruciating pain and difficulty. First day was interesting as I nearly ate all my allowance. You see I went to visit my ex husband and his new wife and kid and I ate a lot (some spinach pie which I taught them to make and some chicken tagine with lots of fresh bread and coke). I was so full I didn't think I'd eat that evening but come nighttime I was hungry so I snacked on various products, hence why I hit 98% of my allowance.

My second day was much better. Mondays are my choir days so I don't get to eat a proper lunch. I just had a small tray of sushi (4 pieces) for lunch along with lots of water. I had a satisfactory dinner and fruit and peanut snacks and still didn't go over 60% of my allowance. I was a bit hungry late in the night but I told myself to take it easy.

Today is my third day. Had some unwanted activity as I had to return two products to Morrisons. Lately they are very disappointing in their fridge section as goods seem to go off rather quickly. I had to go to Tesco and get some fillo pastry to make my spinach pie. Then by the time it cooked it was 3 pm and I was raving hungry. I had 5 pieces out of the 12 I cooked. I calculate it to be around 1000 calories which is a lot but it does have lots of oil in it and cheese and the fillo itself is not devoid of calories. So far I've had 57% of my allowance.

I guess we'll see at the end of the week whether calorie counting works for me. The main thing is to see if the app has done its job well to calculate my nutritional needs at this weight (184.4 kgs) and how much I need to eat to lose at a slow pace. I might have to change things later to fast pace.
