It does sound a bit over-hectic! For my 50th we took a cottage in Whitby and went with the dog. It was bliss. My brother and his wife came over for Sunday lunch and a walk on the beach. Why is diet impossible if hubby is shopping and cooking? Can't you get him onside and give him a list? Worst case scenario, get him to make you a half or 2/3 portion of whatever he's doing and fill up with a large mixed salad as a starter or side. All the best, Bunty and have a happy birthday and great times away

Bless him, he likes to spoil me when I am stressed and busy and I don't have the heart to 'criticise' what he chooses. I do try to have the smaller portion though!
I have girl friends staying this weekend and hubby has taken our wee dog off to a quiet place for the duration and I miss them both already!

first weekend done. ate and drank allsorts I don't usually do! I enjoyed it but wouldn't make a habit of it. I am craving green veg!! I noticed that my 'normal' friends don't seem to care about what they eat and none of them exercise. No chat about diet or exercise. I am glad to have fatsecret to chat to other like minded people.

Enjoy it, it is only once. I get what you are thinking though and this place will keep you on the straight and narrow once it's over. Like you I don't like taking my diet into the wider world. Happy birthday and have fun!
