Warning!! Poor vision can be bad for your health! Lesson learned...one of the only treats I afford myself are protein bars. I am always very mindful of sugar and protein content. Yesterday I found a bar that was pretty big and had only 160 calories and 5 g sugar. I usually opt for bars with less than 3, but figured it was ok to "splurge" today ;-)
Ate the bar and ended up with terrible stomach pains most all night. Not sure if the bar was entirely responsible for that, but I feel it safe to assume so.
Pains did subside and when I went to log my macro's...after putting on my glasses...I found that the serving size was actually 1/2 bar! D'oh!! So now my 160 calorie snack was more meal sized to 320 calories with 10g of sugar!
Thank goodness I worked hard at the gym yesterday which gave me some net calories to play with. So, lesson learned. Can't trust these old squinting eyes anymore! Makes a big difference to actually be able to READ your nutrition label!

I have a theory that the smaller the print on the nutrition info, the worse the product is for you. LOL! I downloaded a magnifier app on my phone so I can read labels at the store. It works great!

Be careful of eating late at night. My idea is, if it is packaged, it probably isn't that good.

Its nuts! I bought popcorn that said 120 calories but there are 2.5 servings in a bag.

Wow...big difference Draglist! Good thing you were smart enough to read your label first. I learned my lesson! And @mskestrela...I think I totally need to get that app! Sounds like a good one. What is the name?

True that Warren about packaged foods. Seems there is very little value other than convenience with those! FloridaAngel...that is crazy about your popcorn! I felt so fooled by the 1/2 bar serving. I swear I've never seen that before!
