We used to run a troop here in OKC, "The Realm" for 15 years. King Ragnar "The Bold" and Queen Angelique of the Enchanted Forest. Car accident changed all that! Wife had back surgery, I had knee surgery put on sooo much weight since 2005, none of my armor fit anymore! Now I want to be the guy that shows up, drums, dances, drinks some Meade, leave when I want! Don't want to be responsible for 80 people any more! But, all my squires from then have gone Military or pursued a job in law enforcement. I'm so proud that my "young squires" from then have become modern day Knights! We would like to re-integrate into our favorite world again. Angie used to teach belly dance and misses it. Her back is recovered with just a little movement hampered. I haven't touched a drum in years! I also miss the camaraderie that puts "this" world on hold for a few days at a time! Ahhh....was born in the wrong time period.

@HCB, yup, feeling a tad better. Now I just have to keep it going. A lot off stress. I have 3 more yards on a weaving job due tomorrow morning! Not much breathing room for today. They're leg wraps for a friend who is being elevated to a top award in the SCA, Pelican. It's the highest service award. @rontravis, your group sounds like fun. I hope you can get back to it eventually.
