I have no clue what my ideal body weight should be. I am 6 foot 5 and 30 yrs old. I looked online and it said 180. that seems low to me.

I'd focus more on body composition than a target weight. If you go to a gym, see if they have anyone who can do a body fat measurement with calipers. I think that's the most accurate method (outside of hydrostatic weighing)

I agree with Notelaine about body composition being a better measure. You could buy some bodyfat calipers for under $20 on Amazon and have your partner help you measure. It will give you the healthy bodyfat range for your age and height. If I have lower bodyfat and more lean body mass, I can weigh more on the scale than most would think. I think it is about fitness and strength in the end, but these are my ideas and goals - you want to figure out your ultimate goals to determine your weight loss goal. Good Luck.

Depending on skeletal size (Small, Medium, Large), you're looking at a range of 225 lbs as an upper limit.
