Completed day 2 of week 7 of the C25K plan this morning. I ran all the way to the seafront and did the warm down walk on the beach itself: the tide was low and the sand exposed, which made for a very pleasant and comfortable surface to walk on. In a burst of energy, I ran again and splashed about, as the surf licked my shoes. The shells of long-dead molluscs scattered and embedded in the sand, sometime cracked and crunched under my feet. The sky was dull and grey but it didn't rain: far away at sea on the horizon line, the clouds had broken and allowed some sunlight to shine through in shades of pastel yellow and orange.
Having reached the pier, I walked across the pebbles and went upstairs to the promenade. I walked back along the seafront and went to the fishermen's huts to see the morning catch and bought a seabass: we will have it tomorrow for lunch, as my partner had already decided we would have a cottage pie today and prepared and cooked it while I was out :)
