New bottle of test strips this morning.
Within 2 minutes of each other, readings were 6.1, 6.5, and 7.4.

All within “normal” parameters; although the 7.4 is a little high (if taken alone) for a post-fasting reading.

I was using the last of Mom’s old test strips. She died over 14 years ago so they are at least that old. When these new ones showed such a disparity, I couldn’t believe my eyes! Which is why I took 3 consecutive readings.

Russ Googled, and apparently old rest strips are quite often wildly inaccurate. Who knew?

I feel greatly relieved I have to say. !!!

Nonetheless I do feel that reducing my carbs and increasing my proteins has been beneficial, so I’m going to keep doing that.

Still waiting to hear back from the doctor to get the official results. That appointment is for January 8th. I’m trying not to get too cocky before that.

Less carbs and more protein seems to work well .. I need to get back on track.. keep on track because you are my inspiration!!
