Mel, we each have different carb tolerance, what works for one is not the same as what works for others. You and I are older. I couldn't eat this way either, but I recognize that I need to be lower carb than others do. I'm very carb intolerant. We're all learning what works best for us.

Hi ladies, I do some weight work at the gym usually a mix of weights and cardio. If I'm honest I focus more on my protein and calories than how much carbs I have although I have been thinking I would like to be more in tune with my micros and see how I'd get on with staying all my guides. Saying that tho I've lost 24lbs in 8/9wks and dropped from a size 24 to a size 20 even a size 18 in some stuff so it's working ok for me. We are all different tho like you have both said, what works for one might not work for another. Xx

For this recipe I used 2 nutribrex (Weetabix) with 50ml of almond milk to soak them a little and mould to jar. I then topped with 100g of fat free greek yogurt with 20g of Banoffee protein powder mixed through it and topped with a small banana X filled me up easily for a few hours x

My friend is a personal trainer and fitness coach and said the two main things he recommends to people is to make sure you are in your calorie deficit and to make sure you hit your protein goals. He said don't stress too much about carb count etc as long I'm filling up on plenty high protein meals, keeping active and staying within my deficit but everyone will be different and give different advice but I'm definitely thinking more that I will try a few weeks cutting back on my carbs to see if it makes a big difference in my weight loss etc x
