Somehow I became the active person. Today (light delivery/pick up day again, yay!) my mom, son, and I went shopping after doing our work. We stopped at a ton of stores and walked a lot! Normally after 2 or 3 stores I'm done, not today. We walked and walked, my mom started dragging. I told her I'm fat and out of shape what are you doing dragging behind. On the plus side I already did 10,000 steps and the day isn't over. My goal has been 5000, I just increased it to 6000 yesterday. Getting a new dog has certainly helped me get a lot more active, walking him 2 to 3 times a day has increased my steps significantly. I'm glad it's summer time and school is out. My son is now more active because I make him walk with me. We are training for a 5k in November. The crazy inflatable 5k sounded like fun for us to do together. I need to get him a vivofit also. The fitbit is not waterproof enough for kayaking and swimming. :( I was going to increase our mile walk tonight to a mile and a half but I think that can wait until tomorrow. My new go walks came today, after all the walking. I slipped them on and wow! They are comfy, I hope they stay comfy after I start really walking in them. When I start running with my son I'll have to switch back to my running shoes but until then I will wear the go walks. They beat my flip flops hands down.
