I survived my trip - finally back home. It was HOT in Phoenix!!!!!!!!! MAN!!! Good news - I drank a lot of water. Bad news - I ate more carbs than I should have. Tried to avoid as much as possible, but only fruit, bagels, juice and coffee in the conference rooms every morning. I managed to "eat out" by myself the first night. Treated myself to a "Fresh n' Easy" grocery store run!! Bought two salads, some string cheese and almonds (which I'm still eating). Ate one salad for dinner; the second for breakfast on Wednesday. Strange - but it saved me from pigging out on the bagels when I got there.

Thursday - took the customers to dinner at this old-western town complete with gun-slingers; a real shops and fairly nice restaurant. The specialty "BEEF"--lets just say along with steaks go what?? Potatoes, corn, Texas Toast, etc.... Needless to say I tasted everything--but ate only about half of the carby stuff. Finished my steak, did not have a drink or dessert. But boy did our customers eat and drink!! They were completely taken with the whole "old-west" thing. Nothing like it in Shanghai!!

Good to go away - but glad to be home with familiar foods, portions, my own bed, etc.!! With so many meetings/outings, I definitely missed logging my food; doing my walking and so on. The scale was not too bad this morning--but I definitely need to get back on track.
